Ground-breaking research performed at Stanford University shows that BBL Skin Photo-Rejuvenation not only makes the skin look younger, but it also influences gene expression and changes skin at a molecular level. The study showed that literally hundreds of genes that are known to be associated with younger skin were activated while others, associated with aging, were turned off.

BBL Forever Young Anti-Aging treatment

For as long as women and men have been concerned about aging, there have been promises of younger-looking skin.
Skin is in a state of constant turnover, with new cells being created in the deepest layers. This process includes gene expression, which is how a cell receives its genetic code. It’s also a critical part of how skin ages. As more genes associated with aging are activated over time, the structure and appearance of skin changes. And there’s no way to change it back….Until now.

Introducing Forever Young BBL™ from Sciton a revolutionary treatment that sends light energy deep into skin to boost the bodies natural ability to fight aging. Skin doesn’t just look younger—it’s genetically programmed to be younger!
Only Forever Young BBL is clinically proven to fight the aging process at a deeper level
  • Fast, easy, noninvasive procedure with no downtime
  • Immediate improvement in skin discoloration, tone and texture
  • Appropriate for all ages looking to improve and maintain the look of young, healthy skin
  • A recent Stanford University study showed clients can keep their skin young loooking 10 to 12 years younger

BBL Forever Young™ Treatment: Ground-Breaking Research

Gene expression is the process by which the information encoded in a gene is used to direct the assembly of a protein molecule. Gene expression is part of how your body creates new cells. Your DNA is a unique blueprint that only you have. Certain genes can express themselves (turn on or off) based on factors like aging and other environmental components. As we age, the genes within our skin cells are programmed to express themselves differently than when we were younger.

Ground-breaking research performed at Stanford University Dermatology Department shows that BBL influences gene expression and changes skin at a molecular level. The study showed that literally hundreds of genes that are known to be associated with younger skin were activated while others, associated with aging, were turned off. [1]

But that’s not all. A long-term clinical study showed that patients who received regular BBL treatments over the course of a decade were judged by doctors to appear 11 years younger than their actual age at the study’s end. In other words, they looked younger than when they started the study! [2]

Faster, Better, Safer Results

The goal of the Forever Young BBL Protocol is to maintain healthy skin and delay the appearance of skin aging safely, effectively, and with minimal to no risk of complications.

For greater improvement in skin laxity, Sciton’s SkinTyte™ procedure can be performed immediately after the Forever Young BBL treatment.

Forever Young BBL treatments are effective for keeping skin healthy and slowing the signs of skin aging (e.g. laxity, pigmented and vascular lesions, uneven pigmentation and textural changes). BBL treatments at regular intervals appear to promote the maintenance of epidermal structures, contributing to the preservation of healthy skin and a youthful appearance. Forever Young BBL has shown to be safe and effective in skin types I-V. The benefits of BBL treatment are maintaining skin tone, clarity, smoothness, and delaying the development of rhytids and laxity.
Treatments for the purpose of delaying skin aging employ the use of lower fluence and more conservative parameters than corrective BBL treatments (ie. treatment of vascular conditions and pigmented lesions). Forever Young BBL uses multiple passes and requires coverage of the entire cosmetic zone (i.e. the full face).

It is recommended to perform 2-4 treatments per year. These treatments are generally initiated with a separate session after successful application of desired corrective treatments.

The theory of Selective Photothermolysis explains how wavelength, energy and pulse width in relation to Thermal Relaxation Time (TRT) all play a role in the destruction of a target and the preservation of surrounding tissue. In the case of a Forever Young BBL treatment, there may be little or no visible target due to clearance of pigment and vascular lesions during previous corrective BBL sessions. In these cases, the goal is to preserve the health of the skin, promote collagen neogenesis and promote a youthful appearance with BBL energy. The use of multiple passes at a lower fluence (J/cm2) helps to preserve client’s comfort while achieving the desired result. Skin that is free of visible targets will benefit from the application of multiple passes at a lower fluence. Corrective spot treatments can be used on any visible targets such as pigmented or vascular lesions that remain after the completion of two Forever Young BBL passes.

Imagine taking a photo 10 years from now and looking better than you do today!

FAQs

WHAT AREAS CAN BE TREATED?
Any area of your body can be treated. The most common areas are those most exposed to the damaging effects of sunlight. The most popular treatments are on the face, neck, back of the hands, arms, chest and shoulders.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING THE PROCEDURE?
Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. Usually, there is no need for a topical anesthetic. You may briefly feel a warm or quick snapping sensation as the light is absorbed by the targeted areas. Your procedure may take 30 minutes to an hour or longer depending on the size of the area to be treated and the type of procedure performed.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER THE TREATMENT?
You may experience some redness that should resolve within a few hours. You will see a darkening of the treated pigmentation followed by fading and flaking off at a later stage (usually 7-10 days). This can be easily covered with makeup the next day. Your treated skin will feel smoother and sunspots or uneven pigmentation will fade. Your clinician will provide you with complete information about the post treatment care.
pre- and post-treatment care
For a safe and effective treatment it is important to follow your clinician’s treatment plan. You may also be recommended some skin care products and given instructions on how to use them.
